Created for the launch of Korn’s official guitar pedal, the project centered on Munky demoing the product through interview, performance and artist-led product coverage. The same access window also generated broader editorial and social material beyond the core launch assets.
creative aPproacH
The creative approach treated the pedal as part of Korn’s sound and identity rather than a standalone gear demo. Close product coverage was paired with conversation, performance and recognizable riffs from the band’s early catalog, giving the piece enough credibility to work for both players and the band’s audience.
IN MARKET
The final launch film ran on Korn’s Instagram and on Distortion Inc.’s website, placing it in front of both the band’s audience and the product’s buyers.
behind the scenes
Shot over two days at Dave’s Room Studios in Los Angeles, the session combined controlled product and interview setups with live performance capture built around material from Korn’s early albums. Performance audio was recorded by Paul Fig, reinforcing the authenticity of the material.
